RapidPrint Year Wheels
RapidPrint Year Wheel Part ($49.00 each):
Date Stamps in general are limited by the physical wheels inside of the unit. There is a wheel (usually brass) for each segment
of information that is stamped such as the Month or the AM/PM indicator. As a result the wheel that contains the year is limited
to twelve years per wheel. Eventually, these need to be replaced and it is no easy task to do.
NOTE: We will sell RapidPrint Year Wheels direct to the customer but we don't suggest this method as it is very difficult and a dirty job to replace
them.
If You Would Like to Replace the Year Wheel Yourself:
We provide an online tutorial on replacing the year wheel but only offer it to customers who are purchasing through us. Still,
approximately half of the users who attempt to do the work themselves are 100% successful. The other half, merely end up sending
the unit to us, along with all of the loose parts, to complete the installation.
The average cost of this is:
$49.00 For the 2 or 4 digit year wheel
$ 3.00 For USPS shipping (Other options are available at shipping costs)

If You Would Like Us to Replace your Year Wheel:
All units that are shipped to us for repair receive a complete service including new ribbon, cleaning of the wheels, oiling and lubricating,
adjustment of the print/die-plates and a general cleaning.
The average cost of this is:
$49.00 For the 2 or 4 digit year wheel
$97.50 For an approximate 1.5 hours of labor (Service includes cleaning, free ribbons, oiling, etc)
$16.00 Freight back to the customer (USPS 2-3 day Flat Rate service, insured)
$ 0.00 Ribbon replacement (No Charge)
